Nice one Chris, and that you enjoyed the wine Tessa, pleased to hear that your girl is on the mend. A very quick sketch (5 mins)
using a water soluble pencil and small amount of watercolour. The inspiration came from talking about my old Labrador Kim, who as a six month old was scared stiff, when she scared a capercaillie when we were walking in the forest near Kinross.

Tessa, cats do like to be the centre of attraction don't they! I've had a similar problem! Your cat is gorgeous :) The bit that you managed to get done before you were interrupted by the subject looked really good.
Dixie, you have really captured the attitude and size of a capercaillie. You are lucky you have seen one in the wild, I've only seen them on the TV and in photos.

Well, the fizz is not going out of this thread. It's zooming along and I can't keep up! Great stuff so far. I have managed this while paint dries. That is the only thing about oils, which is not a bad thing as I like to think about what to do next as I am quite minimal so a mark in the wrong place can ruin the intended image.
A5 sketchbook, uniball pen.
