As always some really nice sketches over the past day. My today’s is the outline for a painting I stated yesterday, I like to put the shade areas in first as it seems to give the drawing some body. I quite liked it as a sketch and might a post it as WIP.
A one line drawing of Boris.

A good likeness Tessa, scruffy and unkempt (Boris I mean). Very clever work I would not know where to start.
My offering for today is a bit of nostalgia for me, a Mk 7 fire truck, very efficient in its day. It’s the one vehicle I hated driving as the gears were so close together it was easy to miss a change, no power steering and you needed to double de clutch. Each one was individual, and had its own quirks, But good days none the less.
Mine is an old field shelter in Lower slaughter with the mill in the background, maybe one for a painting later. Just a pen sketch on my morning walk, difficult to get in the middle of the pages!
nice start of sketches for the day.  This was a quickie on a box, the early morning the Day my granddaughter Iris was born.
Good selection of sketches again. I was at my sketch club's last meeting until further notice, so here's what I did. Including the breif.
Nice one Tessa , I love lower Slaughter such a picturesque place, nice bright and cheerful flower Sandi, like the hand Christopher. Today’s from me is of a couple of retired horse at Speen  home for old horses. Keep up the sketching folks. I wonder if the take of men.

Yes Dixie Lower Slaughter is one of my favourite little places and has very good sketching opportunities! Your horses are very good. I find horses quite tricky . Christopher your hand is well drawn, that’s another thing I struggle to get convincing! And Sandi, a lovely iris, great colours. My offering is my bobble hat, just back from queuing for my husband s prescription at our local pharmacy which seems to be in chaos after staff apparently walked out. It has taken us three days and a total of nearly three hours queuing between us, but got it in the end. Rant over,
I've got really behind in viewing all the lovely sketches.  Sylvia, like these chooks!  Alan, that cottage has turned out so well - hope you are pleased with it :)  Sandi, lovely selection - particularly like the delicate flowers; Tessa - you are so good at making use of waiting times - more nice sketches - particularly like the field shelter - also love the Adebanji Aladi quote - I have certainly noticed the difference due to daily sketching - in confidence and speed if nothing else; always like your trucks, Dixie, and a different mode of transport for a change - nice horses!; and I like your hand drawing Christopher - your club does a great variety. Here are my last efforts for the last few days. Forgot to add this one to the initial collage - Caran D'Ache Museum Aquarell WS pencils - original drawing plus water added - drawn out the window.

Lovely hat Tessa, and really nice to see your set of sketches Margaret. Up early these days as it getting lighter in the morning, nice quiet time to sketch , read, paint etc. I have been looking at tractors recently and have started a series of sketches this is today’s.
Like your tractor, Dixie - most of my relatives were farmers so a bit biased!  Beautifully drawn.
