Just in case people still have time to join me. I will start off with some quick peonies
Beautiful peonies Alan! So pleased to see you have set up a July sketch a day. I promise to get my finger out and post some sketches for July!
Yes, very nice flowers Alan. I've just done this sketch that I'm about to start painting. Not to sure about the faces but I'm hoping they will work as I'm painting them.

What fab sketches soooooo early  in the month.   I’m sure some of you have met my Sam.  He is my rescue doggo I got him before Bill died and they were great mates.  On the anniversary of his “Gotcha Day “  he and I had a little celebrate.  I gave him a small very small Mr Kipling cake he woofed it down.  Now Sam is also very very small a JR / Chihuahua cross.  I am used to larger dogs.  That night he was really ,really poorly , a sugar overload ,  Rushed him to the vets and he was on a drip for two days.  I learned a BIG lesson, even though I have had dogs for over seventy years.  Anyhow this is Sam he is feeling very sorry for himself. Coloured pencil and ink. A 3 .

What a lesson learned! Nice sketch of the little chap, well his ears anyway!
Some very good sketches done so far this month, bit of a cheat but I it’s the basic sketch of the foxgloves in my garden one or tow are Just over six feet tall. This is the half of one with the base colours, I realise the bee looks big but it was how it look on the photo I took along with my sketch. I think it an optical allusion due in part  the the smaller flower heads at the top.  I will  see what it looks like and adjust as needs .
Well it's not particularly visible in the photo, but this is a sketch of a soon to be painting of two dogs. Doggie on the left passed away last year at a grand dog-age, and doggie on the right bounced into the lives of the same family six months ago.
