I returned to some imaginative drawing of these Emus again,,been creating a pictorial book for our youngest grandaughters ....we visited an extinct volcano that is now a nature reserve and walked around the Volcanic plug where there are swamps and board walks to cross, and so beautiful to observe wallabies, koala bears and Emus too! Am in the process of adding watercolour but this scene may take ages , anyway here is a Comic Art sketch so far!
I started my study of a Caravaggio painting before Christmas. You would have seen the charcoal sketch a few times as I've sketched it in various sizes a few times. I'm very familiar with it now. This is the oil sketch coming along. I'm a bit further on and in the middle of putting my second coat of white on before starting the colours and darks. Doing the oil version was more complex than I could have imagined and it is slow progress. I've been taking photos and once complete, will put it on the forum as a WIP. I don't know how it will turn out. Probably be a few months on it.

It’s looking fantastic Denise. Nice sketch Angela  a few thoughts on paper for potential use as paintings , the second is a nod to Mr Constable just studying hay wains more complex than you initially think.

She looks like the nurse that told me off for putting on four pound over the year , I did say I thought it was ironic that she pointed it out  she was a lot bigger than I am . I have lost seven pounds since but I bet she does not say anything when I see her next week.
It certainly kept the pounds off running about for 12 hours a day.
I did those same 12 hour shifts..around the corner from you.  ..she's a tad rude Paul.  You were a gentle man not to say anything. .
Some super sketches and more complex work! I was also a nurse back in the do and those shifts certainly kept us in shape. Then I trained as a Health Visitor the stress of that job also kept the weight off! When I retired I felt more like a social worker. Sure there’s a picture in that
Wonder if there ar3 any more of us turned artist ..?
