I've just been reading back Paul, hope your surgery went well and you have a quick recovery. My sketch this evening, not finished as I thought I would practice a bit of Verdaccio. I like pottering with stuff like this while I'm watching TV of an evening. The sketch now needs to be done in green tones and then flesh colours. I'm working on an oil painting during the day. I'm putting it away now to see if I can find landscape artists on catch up after just realising I've missed it.
A lovely sketch Denise and so well aligned too, nice to see more when you paint the green tones and flesh colours. Your drawings too Paul are looking good and nice to see charcoal too... Some great drawings on this site and it's nice to join in with this online..got family visits tomorrow but shall try and draw early on tomorrow before they arrive.. I started doodling and ended up drawing some Emus today from imagination and perspective seems to be an area I need to explore once again. Take care now and all the best with your portrait Denise,  hope to catch up over the weekend or before!

Lovely flower with leaf and stem Alan, the Derwent tinted charcoal works well for these images, and suppose one can add water to paint shades?
