Some fab sketches on here but not much blether. Upside down Emus...Gee Gees...that's a really nice still life Denise. I'm really struggling with this lot sitting in yet another waiting room. Might finish it might not.boredom setting in I am finding discerning colour difficult. Certainly with pencils. Will have a go with brushes ,,,just walked the lanes and there are some lovely shapes up by the stream...

I avoid waiting rooms - last time I was in one, I came away with a massive chest infection (pre-Covid) that made me very ill indeed for months on end - wear a mask in there Sylvia! People come in riddled with all sorts of horrible things. Great place for making sketches though, if you can get away with it - I only need one crusty old gent to snarl "is that supposed to be me?" to get a little discouraged ... mind you, he was probably the swine who gave me the chest infection, so he can like it or lump it.....
Seriously though - do wear a mask in doctors' surgeries - those of us who are ripe in years do need to protect ourselves from the hoi polloi and their horrible germs... (Reminds me of the actor Ernest Thesiger, asked how he had found the Great War - it wasn't too bad, he supposed, "but my dear, the noise! The people!")

lol... it I take your point Robert. I have three different waiting rooms next week.so will dig out my masks. Getting sick of needles.
I can't sit and draw in situ anymore so I watch as much as I can and try to remember positions...then make the rest up
I can't see detail anymore my central vision has gone...boring....

Love the textures in this - my aunt had MD, and I just pray I never get it because I really don't get on with needles in the eye - my mother had it too, but wouldn't let 'em anywhere near her: the cataract op was quite bad enough for her liking. Neither aunt nor mum painted - but you're doing a fine job with your art - an amazingly fine job.

Denise ,Robert...thank you. Will just not let it beat me..mind you I have just asked Sams squeaky toy if it wants it's supper.
We sit in the waiting room boasting about how many injections....I was quite proud of fifty odd...to be told by the woman opposite she had about 78...had cater acts...all done. Nowhere near as bad as you imagine ..honest. Walking Sam can be interesting.
