A very good portrait Hilary. I've been trying to draw a scene of an area close by, I visit it often and It is from my photos. I must say, with no technical drawing skills, it's been a tough one. The shapes are getting there.
Looking really good Denise the perspective is spot on looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
I had a very nice sketch pad bought for Christmas and decided to use it to develop my skill in drawn figures something in not good at and would like to add more to my landscape paintings. First page last evening.
Excellent first page Paul, good idea to keep a sketch book just for figures.
A great charcoal drawing Hilary of this man and yes it's interesting how the dark and light works so well , he has a steady gaze too, well done!
Lovely postures and positions.
Hilary your random chap is great. Paul that’s a great start to your new sketchbook. Like you figures are not my thing but the only way to improve is practice so well done with the first page. I did this charcoal sketch at the art group
Nice one Gillian  My last evening effort umbrellas on a windy day. The one with the chat on the right is a head held umbrella so I believe.
Gee, some great figure drawing Paul and your charcoal drawing Gillian. Nice preliminary drawing Denise of a scene nearby too. Some lovely sketches on here!
Tried to post a new sketch but it didn't go through, shall give it another try!
