I love your warthog Denise! Been off grid psst few days as travelling to my cave house in Spain ! I have arrived and I am so happy to be back. However only here seven lovely weeks😎watch this space Once I have got myself sorted out I will be posting some sketches asap!

I went for lunch yesterday with my mum and my relative who is visiting from Sweden. After we finished lunch, she said, I want you to paint me a mermaid, a seahorse and a sea turtle on wood. I said, Ok then, I'll give it a go. She doesn't want anything realistic, more fantasy like.  I'll do it underwater. I've done a quick two minute sketch, I'll do a few more just to get the feel and flow of a mermaid. I think this first sketch is something I can work with. She goes home next Tuesday, so I will have a mermaid done at least. The other two, will follow in the post.

My friend got lost.  So I sat and did this looking  over the hedge across the way while I waited her to find me.  I love cow parsley and the hedges are full of it right now ...light, frothy and bridal.   My A5 Moleskine sketch book..... oh ,she did arrive ,an hour late .

Sylvia I love your cow parsley sketch! I have been in Spain for a week. And have no sketching or  painting whatsoever … until today.  Only a pencil sketch but it’s a start!.

Still in Spain at my cave house in Castillejár near Granada on holiday until 23rd June. Better do a sketch of the house next!
