I’ve thought I would bring the thread back up and post this sketch that I have done for a painting .
Having a terrible itch at the moment to paint ships and boats , rather than ignore it I’ve decided to indulge my passion for marine painting unfortunately I now want to do more complex scenes hence the attached.

Thank you Bari for your kind words, yes I know you like your bricks and you do a fine job of them too.
Alan Bickley sent me a photo of the trawler he dis a sketch of , this is my humble attempt done on 12 minutes approx with 6B pencil in my marine sketchbook same boat to different approaches. The other two boat were drawn in roughly twenty minutes again in the marine sketchbook.

Last week, during a mighty thunderstorm in Murcia, roads were turned into rivers with cars and cafe furniture being swept away.
