Delightful caricatures of Ken Dodd the comedian his two front teeth, lol! He always was comical and have fond memories of watching him on BBC TV when residing in England 1968 how lovely Lewis!

Been out sketching in our local community..a scene from the fruit Market stall..quick sketch. Some terrific drawings to view for May,, well done al! Angela ☺️
Looking back through the pages and there is some great stuff there. Here's a recent play at an art class with alcohol based inks on Yupo paper . Never used either before and not sure I will again. It's a bit like herding cats - no control, but lots of nice effects. One warning - plenty of ventilation required when using these inks - I started to get a headache after a while.  It's supposed to be Aberaeron's water front but things got away from me.
An interesting and colourful result Andy. I did a class a while ago using alcohol inks and Yupo and while I really liked the result, I also didn’t like the effect they can have and the warnings on the bottles when I looked into buying some after! Needless to say I haven’t used since which is a shame as I did enjoy at the time. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has tried them and how they found them.
Very vibrant picture Andy, I have never used inks but got a free gift of four small bottles  when I ordered some art supplies a while about but haven’t got round to trying them out. I have a feeling they are alcohol free.   I am dog sitting at my daughter’s  house and just did this quick charcoal sketch of her water feature
Some good info on the alcohol-based inks Andrew.  I think I'll give them a miss too.  I like your painting.  I have ordinary coloured inks, but seldom use them.   That's a nice charcoal sketch Gillian.  A medium I like but seldom use because I make such a mess. I have an Ackerman pen, it's effectively a dip-pen without the need to dip...it has an ink reservoir... so a fountain pen of sorts.  It's very good.  I like the varied line it gives.   Anyway, having spent three months or so not doing any art, when I came to use it today I couldn't find it.  (This is blether, by the way.)  I keep most of my drawing and painting stuff in mugs. A kind of muggery.  I've a mug for Polychromos coloured pencils (not water-soluble), a mug for Faber water soluble coloured pencils, a mug for brushes I use for watercolour, a mug of brushes I use for anything else (inks etc), a mug for dip-pens, a mug or two for fine-liner pens, a mug for straight-forward-honest-to-goodness pencils, and a mug for odd bits of things that might be of use, but actually never are.  I'd expected to find my ackerman pen in the dip-pen mug.  It wasn't there.  It had been miss-mugged.  Although in plain sight I wasn't seeing it.  Eventually after a short period of anglo-saxon verbiage I found it in my 'what-nots' mug.  All this got me wondering if I need all these mugs.  I think I do. Once found, I took the pen to pieces and cleaned it...very easy to do.  I thought I do a page of doodles to get used to it again.  Here's the pic...I thought I'd include my muggery.  Perhaps you work in a mug-free zone? ( I must admit they are never all on my drawing desk like this.)
Soooo tidy!    Sigh….
Puts me to shame Lew!! Your muggery is a wonder to behold!!! I have three big storage jars holding long acrylic brushes, short acrylic brushed and the odds and sods jar!! Love the drawings too by the way!!!

A very tidy work space Lewis! Great to see your illustrations on your collection of mugs, what a great idea.
