Well Anjana I disagree! I prefer the colour version, but only slightly, both are very effective. And Christopher, a good chunky cone!
Thanks Tessa. How lovely for you to have attended a workshop, fabulous loose sketch interesting you did the wash first. Margaret certainly not in any doubt doggy has a cute face, Alan and Marjorie lovely watercolours. Christopher great job on the cone, Linda sensitive use of colours, Dixie you started us off with a wonderful sketch. Think I have caught up with everyone and it's not midnight yet 😁
Wasn't totally happy with my cone so did another sketch of a Squirrel.
Lovely to see lots of sketches already.  I will be a bit later today again - heading out in about half an hour to cut and burn gorse with some more volunteers (and it is wet and cold ..)!  Christopher, I like your cone but I like your squirrel even better - I find them almost impossible to draw well and you have drawn him beautifully.   Anjana, like Tessa, I think both versions are lovely but probably the coloured one just edges it for me too.   Sorry, I hadn't meant to say that I wasn't sure if folk would think the dog was very cute - I was a bit worried folk wouldn't know it was a dog!   (It is a rather unusual pose).
I can't make my mind up Anjana, not being as critical because they aren't mine. Both good. Cones, strangely, are hard to draw. Christopher, the fur on your squirrel is perfect, you've got the effect of softness. I'm making a birthday cake today...sketch might be connected...not decided yet.
Anjana I like your plain drawing, but I prefer the painted one. Christopher nice drawing of squirrel and cone. Good start by all. Might be late with my post today, as we are about to go for a walk at wicked fen, (national trust) Also working on painting project from this months leisure painting mag, also started my 6 nations paint off pictures. So busy busy busy.

Love the pen and wash Tessa, great little mouse peeping out, cones are difficult to draw, so well done on that Christopher and a lovely squirrel, like both flower versions Anjana, have a feeling I might have left someone but if I go back a page i'll lose my script so apologies if I have. I enjoyed sketching today but it doesn't look much like Its supposed to be but its practice. Love my electric eraser that I got for a Christmas present, its ideal for creating shadows. Any guesses who!! No prizes!!! think it looked better before I put too much detail in.
Excellent Alan, I can see you like your rugby.I'm just off to watch it now. Below is quick sketch while the cakes were in the oven.
I like the top one best Linda, but an excellent sketch and one of my favourite actors.
Some absolutely brilliant work done so far, I can see the difference in the quality of sketches etc from the beginning of January. All th3 practice we are getting must do some good. I know it’s not a sparrow hawk, but today’s was inspired by watching  a female sparrow hawk take wood pigeon, she then spent about an hour devouring it. It’s surprising how little was left, quit messy but fascinating to watch, sadly I was not able to get a photo this time. Painted in watercolour very quick.
Alan, like your first Six Nations Paint Off!  Looking forward to seeing the rest.  Like Marjorie, I like the top one best, Linda, but they are both very good.  Lovely detailed pencil sketch, Marjorie, and Dixie, that is a super watercolour!   You have really captured the action - lovely fresh watercolour.
