IWell it could potentially be…
I’ve had this comment, more of an enquiry I suppose, on about 6 as far as I can tell, paintings that I’ve posted on the gallery.
‘Beautiful, How much do you think is a fair price for me to have the right to use this photo’Has anyone else had a similar experience with this person? Or have I been singled out for some reason! I haven’t replied as yet, I’m contemplating how best to handle it, and have asked Robert’s advice, as he is a long standing member and may have come across a similar situation in the past!

I've just replied to you privately (as of course you'll know by now).
I've certainly not had such an approach - I doubt that I show enough these days to get such a question, always assuming I would if I did... Presumably, if we wanted our work to go out as prints, we're capable of arranging that for ourselves, and that way we control the number, and the quality. There are obvious problems if someone else takes a photograph from a website and then produces prints from that: at the least in this case, I'd want a proper business offer rather than a "how much for the rights?" question on a public forum. Then, if I wished to proceed, I'd have my work properly photographed - but I don't see any need to go through someone else to achieve any of this ..... Maybe this is just a speculative question, maybe the person asking the question is making an offer to purchase the reproduction rights in a rather unusual way, but if one really doesn't want one's work produced in prints, that OUGHT to be the end of the matter.
Might this in part be a matter of confusion over language - the name of the would-be rights purchaser is Spanish or Latin-American. Either way, yes it could be a cause for concern, I just hope it won't turn out to be.

Out a year or more ago several people were offered the opportunity to sell their work , copyright everything to someone who wanted to use them or Bitcoin. I had several messages vis POL at the time offering silly amounts of money for each transaction, but I had to convert it in some way . Long story short I had a chat with Dawn and it was decided to an the person from the site . My gut feeling is this is another way of getting the copyright to change I to Bitcoin without stating this as most people would just avoid it . I’m a few other members had the same offer a I recall a discussion with a couple of people on the forum at the time .

I think we need to ask the management team to look at this and consider banning the person, as a moderator I can’t ban the until they post on the forum . I would strongly advise that you don’t get involved with this as you are likely to end up out of pocket due to it having all the hallmarks of a scam of sorts .
