April is here and it would be great to keep sketch a day going. I encourages us to practice our sketching and drawing. It’s been great to see new contributors and I for one would like to keep it going. I will put pencil to paper later!

Narrow boats are flippin’ difficult Denise, but you look like you’ve made a good start. Thanks Gillian for kicking off another month.  Our art group theme this week is ‘dance’ so I’m trying a few options and might paint figures on sheet music. This is a bit of a rubbish sketch but just a quick try out for the moment.

Something like that Alan! Great fun and super music. We used to go to a bar where they played Scott Joplin music- fantastic! I like the fire buckets, what a great subject, and Gillian's lovely boat. I love boats of all types.

I thought they were jitterbugging Tessa, I'm not sure if that's the same as Lindy hopping. All I know is the going around in circles dance, yes, having two left feet. Here is my sketch for today, I have taken it from a free coloured photo, to practice my light's and dark's. I've also been sketching my younger self for the other challenge. I've started sketching tanks this evening. I've been sketching most of the day. I will paint tomorrow.

I'm laughing, I forgot to do around the hands, darn. The hands were the main feature. Well, know ones perfect. Least of all me.
