It does make sense, yes (when have you ever NOT made sense?, he simpered, winningly), and if I had more canvas and time, the former shortly to be rectified, the latter a problem, I would have produced a still life even though I loathe doing them: I learned by doing still lives, one after the other, and have never forgotten the unremitting tedium. On the other hand, my first successful painting was a still life: I can see it now - a blue jug, and bowl ; but it's long gone. I hope I got paid for it...... Sixty years on, I do wonder where it went.
Anyway, enough of this frippery - I'll try to meet another challenge, ALMOST anything but still life.

At the moment I'm doing a watercolour from a segment of a dream I had two nights ago. Was singing 'my endless love' with a beautiful blue snail. The gossamer blues have inspired me to paint this image.
However, I'll take on a challenge. Rain has stopped play, so have a few days to poch about with my paints.
Peter and Marjorie, maybe paint a snail or two, also?

I'm sorry, I tried water colours and hated them so they are the one medium I draw the line at, if you'll excuse the pun. I'll have a go at a snail though.
I'll tell you a short story. A while ago the clue in the Guardian crossword was 'Brian's post' (5,4). Knowing that Private Eye always call King Charles Brian I put Royal Mail but it was wrong. The answer was Snail Mail because the Brian was from the Magic Roundabout!
So, guess which snail I'll be doing.

I've drawn a snail! Pursued by a hedgehog - I'd much rather do a snail than a portrait; although as it happens I have several, and could pretend I'd done one of them specifically for this challenge. No one, har-de-har-har, would know any better.....You'll accept a drawing, will you, rather than have me paint one?
Always assuming I can reduce the size of an image to fit the Forum, which I've totally forgotten how to do.... any hints?
