I take it that the increased subscription includes your subscription to The Artist or LP assuming you already have that? Not very clear.
If you wanted to just take a Studio membership it is £23.99 a year. Studio+ which includes a paper subscription start from £49.99 a year. Several people who already subscribed have changed to a Studio+ account as it's better value currently! Both magazines and Studio facilities is just £79 a year. You can see all the details here https://www.painters-online.co.uk/membership/

I'll have another look but my initial impression is that it is not very user friendly. Not sure I would use it a great deal even if I was prepared to pay the extra.
I can't seem to find a way of paying the annual fee without signing up for a Direct Debit. Can it just be paid outright (card payment)?
The option to pay by card isn't currently available I am afraid. I have approached the technicians with a request that this be reviewed though. Dawn
Thanks, Dawn. Thought I would try to do it before the free trial ended.
I will do my best!
Am I in Studio now? I applied for the free trial and was told I am already a member but can't find out how to log in. Or did I manage it without realising it lol
You are already logged in or you wouldn’t be able to comment here. If you see My Membership at the top of this page, click on that and you will see the Studio options. Click on any or all to see what they offer. 😀
If I was going to select a Studio membership I'd also prefer to pay it in one go, rather than setting up DDs. I avoid DDs like the plague, there are enough companies with their hands in our bank accounts as it is (although I'm sure POL isn't a troublesome corporate). I am not yet persuaded there is any extra value for me yet, personally; I have been a member of quite a few online galleries since the early 2000's and very few of them have delivered sales for me; of those that have, one has closed down, the other charges too much commission for me to stomach (so I left) and another actually does find me buyers. If Studio is going to function properly for sales, the site has to be promoted to potential buyers as a gallery, not as an artists' community cum forum cum video-teaching site. In fact, I do wonder whether it should be entirely separate, focusing only on promoting artists' work and charging a commission. I'm happy to pay a moderate percentage to websites that actually focus on promotion of their artists; those that do it well are worth the payment because they do it a lot better than I can. I think I'm right in saying that the A&I art magazine also runs a members' gallery (or it used to); maybe POL is aiming to adopt the same or similar format. I'm sure Studio will suit lots of people.....we are all different in our requirements and interests....I just dont see myself making much use of it.
Yes Christine, the A & I do have this facility, I’ve had some success with it and it’s only £30 a year.  The new selling facility recently introduced by POL will I’m confident be a huge success. This is even cheaper at a modest £25, so not exactly out of anyone’s reach! - and there are other benefits included as well. I’ll speak to Dawn on Tuesday to confirm that we can pay it outright, I’m sure we can.
Thanks Alan; I didn't get notified of your reply via the system so have only just found it. The £25 price is what dangles in front of me like a carrot....it's an affordable "gamble", so to speak and I wouldn't mind an extra outlet, to be honest, if it works....provides incentive to keep nose to grindstone.
