Eric, I so agree with you. I had my stamp it went nowhere.  Well said.
I know Sylvia.. I feel You... You took him down quite well I thought....We have both called him out on his post in the past and you proved his fraud... I have see his like time and time again on another site as well....  I suppose we could start manipulating photos off the internet and post them 5 or 6 times a day.. until the point is made.. I am tempted...
Just hope that the POL team DO something.   It is a lovely site and is being ruined.  .
I see he's back to 4 a day - I thought he'd agreed to stick to 2?   Also he's posted something on the Forum, not sure if it's sarcasm or not.
I think you are both expressing what a lot of people think . I’m aware of quite a few people who are no longer posting on the gallery and sadly I suspect there are other who have just gone quietly. The POL Admin team is aware of the issues and of the feelings of a a lot of the members, I know they are watching the situation closely but cannot act unless someone actually provides evidence or complains that their work is copied.  Helen I think it’s sarcasm and did so the minute I spotted it, to go a step further I personally think it two fingers up to the gallery members and the Admin team .

I don’t post very often on the gallery until I’m entirely happy with what I’ve painted. Nor here, on the forum. However, I’ve followed this post and I’m amazed that these blatant copies appear every day! He’s even been on the top line!! I’m speechless.
Things don't bother me on a personal level. I have no interest what this particular person does. I do see things clearly though. I do not mention any names. When people post to elicit an angry response from other members, this is trolling in my book.some people don't have to be blatant about it but can continually hack away at a group, causing unhappy members and members to leave. I know what I'd do if I was in administration.
Agree with Denise’s comments, think she’s summed up the situation very well.

The posts appear on two sites, this one, and one whose name I've forgotten; they are posted by the same person.  Now - I have not been able to find identical images elsewhere - and I have looked for them.  If those who object to them were able to identify the source from which they were copied, if they were, there would be a case for banning this member - a cast-iron case if they were copyrighted images; a weaker one if they were not.  As yet, no such source has been identified - the company could unilaterally ban anyone if it chose to, but it really isn't a proscriptive sort of company, so I think it won't take such an action unless very sorely tried.  I'm sorry that this will inevitably leave people dissatisfied - I really hope that people will not leave this site - but that's how things stand at present. Michael will not discuss, or has not discussed so far, his methods or sources.  It would be legitimate for the company to seek reassurances, I should have thought; and to act against him if they're not received.  So far as I know, they haven't yet done that; so it's a thought I leave with them - it would resolve matters one way or the other.
Unsplash photo image by Karina (not copywrited as is from a free image website) vs the gallery image. Little difference other than a bit of fuzzing of the original.
