The Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Wapping Group of Artists, and National Historic Ships UK have launched a new competition inviting artists to create a painting of one of the 2,000 historic vessels located around the UK. There's £1,000 up for grabs and lots of other prizes too. Find out more on our news pages here https://www.painters-online.co.uk/news/afloat-or-ashore-an-opportunity-for-artists/
An interesting competition and I’ll give it a go if I can find the time…
I’ve just found out that my painting “Little Mint and Sai See in for refurbishment at Gweek” has been selected for inclusion in the Royal Society of Marine Artists “ Afloat or Ashore” exhibition next year.  I’m frankly astounded but feeling very pleased It will also appear in an online exhibition in the coming weeks. It’s also in my gallery on here.

Congratulations Alan, I didn't manage to get anything done in time.
Thank you Fiona and Denise.  Denise, I was quite lucky really as I’d painted this one last year, boats being my thing.  Didn’t think anyone would ever be interested in it though.
