I'd also like a copy, Lewis. Please can you explain this comment, Lewis. 'When you have time you'll show the whole book?' I don't always grasp the full shilling, but after reading the post, I was under the impression this lovely book was 'for purchase'

Thanks for your comments.   This book was never intended to be published in the normal sense.  My son had mentioned to the author that he’d try to get it made in book form, but left it vague.  He knew most years I have my art made into photobooks.  For my purposes that meant I didn’t have to keep the reams of loose drawings I make…I keep a few originals that I like and bin the rest.  I’d done a couple of graphic novels (like comics), but never an illustrated STORYBOOK like this.  These books were only for me and my family.  I told my son I’d be happy to do such a photobook for his ‘client.’  I’ve reached an age where I have no interest in producing books or art  for sale.  I make drawings because I like doing it, and it keeps me occupied. Two books have been printed…one for me…and one for the author as a gift from my son. The author is a man whom life has dealt a severe blow, he’s been crippled for life by an accident or illness (I don’t know which).  But he still wants to do things, with a little from people like my son he still can.  I was happy to offer my help too. It seems somehow that a few people think I was making this book to sell it.  THAT WAS NEVER MY INTENTION, l apologise it anyone thought otherwise.  (It’s not my story to sell anyway.) Perhaps it was a mistake to write about it, I just thought it might be of interest.
Well done Lew for finishing your project and making a great gift for your son's friend. I've followed your drawings and story all done with great skill and humour. Waiting for the next one , keep it going mate.
II certainly wasn't a mistake to write about it Lewis, we've all been engrossed in the whole project. It's been a great achievement for you and your son and of course the author, you should all feel proud of yourselves.
I agree with the words Russell has posted. Lewis, the characters you have produced for key parts within the story are engaging and have moved the story on with humour. There are few things some of us come across in life that are kept in the 'treasure chest' and taken out now and again a viewed with care, this little book would have been one of them. I look forward to seeing a little more when you're ready.
