I’ve been quite lazy over the last week or so and tended to watch films rather than sketch , I find sketching more relaxing than watching films but it take a bit more effort. Did two boat sketch’s of the small tugs seen on the Thames towing barge.
Excellent Sketches Paul.
There is nothing,  just  nothing I like better than  just messing about in boats…. Said Ratty in the Wind in the Willows . Keneth Graham. That’s our Paul.
very good Paul!!!
New Year's resolution day 1. Inspired by Whale folk art discussion, but reference from National Geographic. (not sure how to do sea spray in pencil/charcoal)
Well done you Norrette, onwards and upwards.
In response to Sylvia earlier post , re Paul’s Boats .
Sylvia's gaffe! Lols! Well done Paul.
Thanks Norrette .  I sketch last night as I trying to get back into the habit of doing so every day when I can a WW11 Navy trawler many were used as escorts to coastal convoys and some like this had cutting gear so mines could be cut free and blown up safely. Unfortunately thst didn’t always work out and many were lost because the mine became  entangled in the cutting gear .
I slipped my sketch a day resolution a bit.  Will start again this week. Interesting to hear on the radio about Whitby fisherman  - when they've fulfilled their quota they then work by patrolling the cables from the wind farms, in case of errant anchor drags!
I didn’t make a new year resolution as I never keep them so I just remind myself I need to sketch more .
My sketch during recent local snow fall, Fude pen and Watermans intense black ink.
