I love the work of Dali and Magritte but I don't find these of great interest sorry, reminds me of the doodles I used to produce when listening to music by the Doors and Mothers of Invention!
Would you like me to add Magritte to the list Russell , you could do the intro , it will be a couple of weeks before he features.
I am a amazed  that no one has suggested Vincent Van Gogh .  Could he be added to your ever growing list please Paul.
Will do Sylvia.
I fully recognise that these are not to everyones taste but the works of Turner, who so many hold in high esteem,  hold no fascination for me. As we all recognise - we are all different and that's what makes these postings so interesting. I've exhibited only two of mine in this style and pleased to say they both sold so there is an interest out there.  One of the other influences for my work  is Michael King (Black Swan Studio) who, although not a surrealist, produces some great abstract line work so I’ve included one of his below along with another one of Desmond's  whimsical works.

I suppose as this great man has been mentioned, we really should showcase some of his work. I’m happy to discuss Turner’s watercolour sketch books, of which almost 300 of them are housed in the Tate. I’m also happy to highlight some of his lesser known oils, unless someone else feels they’d like to take that one! It could make for two separate discussions which would require a whole week dedicated to him. Paul… over to you old chap!
I will set a week up Alan for a Turner fest.
You can add Magritte to the list if you wish Paul, I'll certainly do the intro but I'm by no means an authority on his work.
I look forward to Turner - who knows I might be converted.
I’ll do my best Michael! I’ll be looking at his loose watercolour interpretations from his sketch books, plus his lesser known oils, after all, we’re all familiar with The Fighting Temeraire etc… so there’s not a lot more to say. I’ll see what I can dig up that’s a bit different!
You will do fine Russell, just choose some of his work you particularly like and a little explanation as to why , don’t need experts  they sometimes make things a bit too complicated . Your plan of action sound good Alan looking forward to it be interesting to see something of Turners other that the ones that are often displayed.
Paul, could you please add Henri Rousseau to your list.  Thanks.
