Thank you Sylvia. I’m also seeing something akin to that brilliant cartoonist Ronald Searle, he drew buildings exceptionally well too. Other than the fact that I draw cartoons and use the same materials I’m not seeing any similarity to my stuff. If you do…thanks. Oddly, I was thinking I could see elements of your style in his drawings of people.

I'm not seeing anything particularly cartoonish in the way Nicolas draws his people. I do in his animals and fantasy creatures. But I admire the way he draws very much. Here's a self portrait...
Some more of his people drawings...
I came across this quote from Nicolas about his drawing, and the fact that he tries to hide his 'wobbly' drawing. Something that resonates with me and my wobbly hands...

He must have produced hundred of sketch’s and paintings, such talent be nice to have a little bit of it . I agree with Alan regarding the painting with the tree in front of the house , in fact I think it’s the best one so far but that’s not degrading his other work. Interesting that he spoke about a wobble , like Lew it’s something I can relate to and I suspect he and Lew notices the slightest hint of a wobble in our work .

Like most of us at times, he seems to sketch on anything...
Here he parodies the Mona Lisa...
An even more mind blowing amount of detail in this one...
A touch of the impressionists??...
