Welcome to week 90 of the Inspiration From Artists thread , this week’s featuring artists are : Z L Feng and Mathew Alexander, Jenny will open with her introduction to ZL Feng and post her choice of his artwork. I will present the artwork of Mathew Alexander on Wednesday, I hope you enjoy the artist we have chosen and their work.
Z.L. FENG was born (1954) and grew up in Shanghai and has been painting since the age of seven. Before moving to the U.S in 1986 he received his BFA Degree from Shanghai Teachers University and taught in its art department for four years.  In 1989 he completed his MFA Degree at Radford  University where he became Professor of Art. He finds inspiration for his very distinctive landscape paintings in the countryside of the New River Valley in Virginia.  He also paints portraits of the people of Tibet and Native Americans of New Mexico.  After experimenting with various mediums including pastel, oil and egg tempera, he settled on painting in watercolour which is now his favourite medium.

This had dropped out of sight very quickly……..
Some beautiful paintings there Jenny and thank you for the introduction, I will take a lomas his work more closely and post that I particularly like.
Stunning colours!
Glorious colour and style Jenny. I will also look again later.
Awesome.
Beautiful paintings. Love the splatter.
Some beautiful paintings Jenny, portraits and landscapes. Will be looking closer at this artist. Thank you.
Stunning watercolours Jenny - love the vivid colour combinations, and especially like the last landscape with the sunset ( possibly sunrise!) and it's semi-abstract quality.
Lovely choice, Helen.  One more from me.  Hard to choose a favourite but, like Hilary, I especially like the last one I posted above with its beautiful semi-abstract quality.
