Jane Denton is a British artist who has painted in watercolour for over ten years , Jane loves the delicacy and transparency of the medium. She also works in oil, mixed media and ink drawings. Jane specialises in architecture, house portraits, shops, pubs , theatres and factories. A new artist to me I only cam across her work this week and whilst the majority are of buildings I have enjoyed her work . I hope you find her work interesting and look for more on the internet as there are a lot on there.
Another interesting artist Dixie: the tool box is particularly good and of course I recognise the Lower Slaughter scene! I also like the Punch and Judy show and the style of the last one. Her work is pleasant to look at and would make good book illustrations.
I deliberately put the Lower Slaughter scene in as I knew you would recognise Tessa, a place like to visit and have done a couple of paintings of the mill. I do prefer Upper Slaughter it’s so pretty mind you the whole area is and definitely a Artist landscape . I have two book illustrators that I’m adding to the list I came across their work a few days ago. My hope is to offer variety and as many different styles a possible, fortunately Jenny is good at picking out different artist to me and ones thst I might not have noticed .
I prefer her drawings - as Tessa says, the toolbox is particularly good.  Not so keen on the watercolours.

The watercolours are a bit weak in both colour and draftsmanship…the sketch with the phone boxes is interesting!
I found these two that I quite like.

I do like the Punch and Judy painting and the realism of the toolbox. I like both your additions, Tessa. The skies are particularly lovely.
Yes that tool box is great....the rest...well a good Scouse description  " Marlish" .
I'm not that keen on writing on paintings - many do it, but a) it's hard to read, and b) it does seem to me to confuse two things - I want to look at the painting, not squint at the writing.  However, minus the writing, I'd like the penultimate one above; of course, it might have been a sketch, with notes.  The work is a bit variable in quality, but then - so's mine!
