Sandra please select any artist who’s work you want to share and post the painting on this thread , no limit .
You are more aware of abstract art than I am or quite a few people so please do share your experience and knowledge with us. If you have problems uploading then then let me have some names and I’m sure we can do the rest .

I sat in front of Mark Rothko in the Hague, expecting to be transported…am I a philistine? They did nothing for me….but they have an important place in art history and I wouldn’t dismiss them just because they didn’t affect me. One of his quotes was “ Art isn’t a picture of an experience, it is the experience” - I can understand that.

I just paint circles because I like them. This is Kandinsky’s quote on using them in his abstracts -
