Welcome to this weeks thread , it one of our free weeks, the topic for the week is Autumn Painting by any artist in any medium, mixed medium, sketch etc. Choose any artist that you want to feature, even your own autumn painting, I personally think that’s very inspiring seeing work by fellow artists. I’ve started by googling autumn painting by famous artist , simply to get the ball rolling. These four artist were among the first ten to come forward,  VanGough  Claude Monet. Pissarro  Singer Sargent  Hope you find some that you like or post some of your own , looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
A few by Norman Thelwell showing autumn colour... A couple from that time (now) when country folk and the landed gentry get together to slaughter birds... ...fantastic drawings, and it's said, 'quintessentially English'.  But not to this London boy, born in the big smoke. Paul said to include our own images.  I find I don't have much.  Unsurprising because I don't paint landscape.  (But I've dozens of people in their autumn years.  No, no...no.) Two I found....the first done some years back when I went to an art club...the set subject was autumn l

I like Lewis’s selection.  I’ve chosen a couple by artists we’ve previously looked at. Iosef Derecichei Ian MacCulloch And as I often use autumn colours, a couple of mine. This one is mixed media and collage - the badger and foreground are collage, not painted!

Not a surprise but I have quite a few of my own autumn landscape.
Somehow I missed this! What a wonderful selection, and living in’t countryside Lew’s Thelwells particularly made me laugh.  I found a couple of oldies of mine.
Can’t wait to do more Autumn paintings, our “ old work” above is very good. Love seeing the warm colours and their complements. One of my own oldies is a corner of the garden - just for the colours. Let’s set out our Autumn colours and get started! This thread has energised me!
Well Marjorie that made my day knowing that the thread has given you inspiration to paint .I’m hoping to finish one just for this thread by the weekend if I get the time I need .  Gustave Courbet  Monet  Stella Dunkley

All nice but Monet above is the one for me. Beautiful complementary colours.
I agree I not a great Monet fan but that one just leaps out of the screen, it’s stunning.
Three more from me this morning, a more modern artist and two from the Victorian era. Erin Hanson Lydia Cassatt(1880). Alphonse Much , who we have previously featured.
Those last three are belters Paul.  But I’m a spring person - mellow fruitfulness doesn’t do it for me.  But here is one of mine anyway.
