I also very much like the still life paintings of Samuel Peploe, one of the Scottish Colourists….. and Terence Clarke whose work was influenced by the Scottish Colourists….

A few more by different artists, hope you enjoy them. 1. Hanna Kaciniel  2. Tajuddin Gendut. 3. Davis Agenjo. 4. Jose Antonio Hinojos Morales. 5. Jo Sharpe
What a fantastic selection of still life painting. I’m not a fan of the old style traditional flowers and fruit still life, but the modern versions are excellent and I especially like the Scottish colourists work and that of Shirley Trevenna. I will try to pick something to add, but can’t go far wrong with Cezanne. And here’s one of own artists on this site Sarah Stanley whose work is also excellent. And a couple more from one of my favourite current artists Adam Ralston of his breakfast table set ups.

A great variety of still lifes, and I do like the modern versions as well as the more traditional. Here is a lovely loose one from Edward Wesson.
Next weeks featuring artists are  Jim Musil and Norman Cornish .
I like Dennis Spicer’s Still Lifes ( who, many years ago, posted on POL ).
And Lachlan Goudie, Ewan McClure, Sir William Nicholson.
