Was a British painter and graphic designer, born in London and studied at St Martins School of Art.
He was elected a member of the RSMA in 1970 and was also a member of the Wapping Group of Artists.
Whilst his main subject is maritime , he did produce landscapes and one still life paintings.

I like the second and fifth of Paul’s first posting. The fifth because I admire the way he’s painted the buildings…something I struggle with. He’s a perfectly good artist, but I’m not getting that standout factor I’ve had from other artists (like the previous artist in this thread.). This is an entirely personal thing of course, others will disagree.

I agree with Alan about the Staithes painting - it's one of the most appealing, and very well painted. In some of the others, there's perhaps more reserve than I typically appreciate, but they all repay longer study - going right back to the top, the 7th one down is particularly interesting.... the yellow touches in the sky particularly.
In terms of value, a quick look at the auction houses suggests that originals of this artist aren't fetching high prices; well - that's an opportunity for some keen collector; because with a bit of promotion to bring him back to public attention, I'd be quite surprised if his prices don't increase over time.
