Not my original choices but they are much better colour I take back my comment about the darkness of his work .
I've always admired this style of W.C. All those straight lines and clean application of colors.
No problems with your marine artists Paul, some lovely paintings there. You and Jenny do a great job, wondering if you'll ever run out of artists! Lovely to hear from Matty, do hope we'll see future examples of his work, I found it fascinating.
Thank you Sandra , don’t think we will be short of names for a very long time . I have a list of about two thousand or so and keep adding names as I discover them . I have to admit quite a few are from the 1700- 1800 period with quite a few from the Victorian era as you might expect.
Some more of Dade’s work .
A very fine artist Dixie. I like his drawings a lot.
Like Tessa, I like his drawings a lot, but not so keen on the paintings.
I wonder what the story is behind the third one from the top, four figures walking across an empty beach - it hardly matters, you could invent any number of your own stories: but it'd be good to know. He was a very traditional draughtsman and colourist, and so far as I'm concerned all the better for that.  His drawings have an economy of line, and I think I like them as much as the paintings, and vice versa.  So different from the last painter featured - variety being the spice of life.
We try to provide variety Robert , you must add the spice yourself I’m afraid.

My last selection of his paintings .

Loving those sketchbook style drawings of boats in this last batch, and the final one which I’m assuming is an oil.
