He was a superb artist Dixie and I like your selection very much. I had a quick look at his website and will add some more later. Must admit I know very little about his background and life so will look at that also.
Sorry I haven’t been much in evidence recently re the artists - new grandchild, funeral and now a club exhibition. Re the exhibition, it’s not the painting but all the extras, labels, frames, cakes to make…..am on duty all tomorrow and Sun afternoon so making the most of tonight! Just to say that I like Wyeth very much. Saw a very interesting programme about him a year or so ago, narrated by Michael Palin I think. Good choice Paul!
What lovely paintings.I very much like each and everyone of them. Will also go and explore more off his work.
Some fine paintings, I too, will go on and have a look at his work.
Great paintings and if I had to chose it would be number one - the window. Such great textures and composition.
I also liked Paul’s first one, but I also found these rather intriguing!
His paintings are fascinating (and I see now why Andrea Kowch’s work has been compared with his).  These are a couple which I found interesting.  Arctic Circle, and Full Moon.

Like all three you have picked out Alan . I think your choices are really good Jenny I like the first one but the second one really appeal’s to me for some reason  probably because it’s to do with trees .
He was a great painter, used tempera - which very few of us here will have done, I suspect - among other materials: AND - there are two more Wyeths to discover.  N C Wyeth, the first - then Andrew - and currently Jamie.  At least, I think and hope that Jamie is still with us.  It's like opening a door when you start researching artists - one leads to another, then another.
I shall add both NC and Jamie Wyeth to the list Robert , would you be willing to do the introduction to them . I have just looked at both artists some interesting work from both .
I do like Andrew’s work very much, as Jenny says it’s fascinating. There’s a sense of isolation and desolation in some of the paintings chosen above.  My first choice is called Pentecost. I’m guessing these are fishing nets drying in the breeze. Another I like is SnowHill. Both of these are tempera. I rather like his portraits and have chosen these two. The first is entitled ‘Young Swede’ and I just love how his hair is painted! The second is called Nicholas, I think a very thoughtful pensive look. This one is Adrift.  Just found another two. I could go on but I’ll leave some for you! Not sure of the titles but I love the light and shadows in the first, and the vantage point and birds in the second.
