The book I have is MH Sketch book Secrets and it is a lovely book and a good read. This is just one page because I love her sketching style as well as her paintings.

Great minds Tessa I had picked out the middle two of your choices but you beat me to it. Three from me the one of the old stone cottage has been give as her painting on three sites  I hope it is as it certainly my favourite and reminds me of Alan Blockley's work .

Hi Fiona, good to see you back again!  (Perhaps you could do an introduction to Peploe, would be nice to look at one or two of the Scottish Colourists.) More great examples, Tessa and Paul.  She also does some interesting still life work in pastels.  Lovely choice of colours in these.

Those skies are gobsmacking, the trees equally so....there's me whinging I haven't any thing to draw and I have my own little woodland...so trees here I come .  Inspired by Constable.  Thanks.

Somebody once said 'there's always something to draw'.  Well, I suppose there is - but would you WANT to?  There's a tutorial here on POL showing us how to paint beach huts: but who the Hell wants to paint beach huts?  Not I, POL, not I.... boring ruddy things...  There are those who can draw or paint a tin of sardines and derive some satisfaction from it: how, I've never known.  Chardin said 'it doesn't matter what you paint: it's how you paint it'.  Hmph.  Well, all right M. Chardin, but I notice you never painted beach huts.   Trees, on the other hand, always have something to offer.  And by the way, Moira Huntley's work is a treat for sore eyes and heat exhaustion: maybe if I get to be 90, I can be as good.... not so sure about that.
