Sorry, Paul, I was just trying to understand how this feature works, and posted reply in error. However, I'm posting a copy of one of my life drawings to test it out.  Nice getting to know you.

Gavin this thread is used for posting the artists selected for this week so that we can look at their work and comment on it . You need to post your very nice painting on the gallery where it will be seen by more people and they can comment on your painting . It’s a very good study and would be well received .

If you go into the feature at the top of the page where it says My Account if you click on that the option to put a painting on the gallery is located there. It a bit difficult when your new to the site to find your way around, have fun and enjoy it , we have all made mistakes at the beginning so don’t worry about it . Nice to meet you as well look forward to seeing more of your work and hope you join in the discussion.
I will add a couple of Jamie Wyeth painting and hope I haven’t selected any Robert was going to use in his introduction. I won’t introduce the artist as Robert will know far more about him than I do .
I do like those Dixie, especially the sea scene in the middle. Will look later when Robert has done his intro.
As Robert seems to be AWOL ( hope your ok ) I will do a very short intro so that we can get started . Jamie Wyeth born in 1946is a American realist  painter and comes from  family of artists his father and grandfather and both well known artist . I find some of his work a little strange his portraits can be very good , I do particularly like the tree painting.
Like Tessa I consider the sea scene the best of the three, but would have liked to see more clearly the figure on the left: he helps the composition and leads the viewer towards the main focal point, the couple.
