I was inspired by his lost works Michael and did this a while ago, I put it on the gallery at the time, I think.
That’s a fabulous abstract, Michael. I’ll have to look up Miro. I too am pleased that abstracts are being shown a bit more on the gallery, as like you, this genre is often dismissed. I think it takes a lot of imagination and thinking outside of the box…..they’re not easy to paint and a few of mine have ended up in the bin.
Denise - great painting. Ellen - I posted that with tongue in cheek.  Please do check out  Miro - this one below really is one of his.

That's great Paul - look forward to it - in the meantime Kandinsky.
Also like some of his monochrome work (lithographs?)

I like those too, Jenny. In particular the second one down. It can play tricks with you, you can either look at it from the black perspective or the white, if that makes sense.  Michael, I’ve looked up Miro. Interesting!
Another excellent week thanks to Sylvia and Michael for their excellent introductions and suggested artists . I certainly have learned a lot and seen some superb artwork from two artists that to be honest I’ve never really studied before , just show that we take what we are shown , normally their most famous work and don’t look any deeper .  To pick up on a comment Alan made on another thread , it would be a shame if this one did not continue for a while longer . I would ask those  who do look in but don’t comment to just let us know your there and enjoying what we are  doing , you don’t need to make a long statement. As I have said before I will keep plodding on until it’s absolutely dead  with the hope that we get some oxygen along the way.  I will start next weeks thread off on Sunday evening as usual,  next weeks Artist are Sarah Adams and David Roberts. Later this evening I will put the weekend bonus artist on line . Thank you for looking in and participating have a good weekend.
You have been a brick doing this Paul I think all of us who have participated in it have so enjoyed / enjoying doing it.   It i# a pity that more people have not joined in.   Look forward to the next artists.
Paul, I’ve had a look back through recent weeks of this thread.  It may seem some weeks like it’s getting a bit dead, but there are in fact about 13 or 14 people who have been commenting on a fairly regular basis, although not every week, plus a few new people who occasionally join in.  It would be good if more people got involved, but even with the existing number who are enjoying and learning from it, I would think it’s well worth keeping it going.  (I thought Fiona would be interested in taking part, but she hasn’t posted for a while.  Hope she’s OK.)

Thank you Sylvia and Jenny for your lovely comments, I have no intention of giving up on the thread until in told to stop.  Thanks for your searching back Jenny that’s encouraging and hopefully people are just looking in and enjoying it.  I had notice that Fiona hasn’t posted anything on the forum or gallery, she did join in at the beginning, I to hope that’s all us ok with her  l might person message her to see if she is ok I have shared messages with her in the past.  Just about to do the bonus artists .
We will keep it going, no issues whatsoever! I’ve spoken with Fiona not ten minutes ago, she’s fine but is busy just at the moment, it’s not my place to go into that. I’ll let her know that she’s missed, I’m sure I can get her to introduce one of the Scottish artists… watch this space!
