Oh for gawds sake.............let it go. Life really is too short and I can think of a hoard of things Id rather get het up about. Like refugees and terrorist bombings and all the things that really matter.
Yes - please give it a rest. It's getting boring.
Yes, come back, Fluffbutt. Just go back a few threads and you will see you were described as 'articulate' and that can't be a bad thing...can it. You certainly do liven things up :)
:) yes. Some of us are of an age when using the word 'Dam' was as foul as the 'F' word is today. Be gentle with us.
Just a bit of respect for each other and less of the adolescent language (both foul and otherwise) - that's all that's being asked. None of us mind sensible debate but once a point has been made move on.
Well, that thread headed south in remarkable fashion. I think FW's quotes were a bit short to treat in isolation; however I do agree about art being a deliberate creation of the new. Where I differ is in the statement that "... it must be created." which I would change to "... it can only be interpreted." I too have had a look at FW's website. Some of his works are - imho - decent interpretations of the world around us and I would have been happy to produce them.

Once a writer resorts to foul and abusive language to make their point, their credibility diminishes in my eyes. Younger people use this site, my Grandchildren for one, and this language is not acceptable. And don't get smart by saying that they hear worse things at school, that won't wash. Little wonder that the Forum is in danger of dying a slow death, who in their right mind want's to log on and read all this abusive tirade against an 89-year-old guy who is unable to defend himself, or against anyone for that matter. It's just not acceptable on this Forum, there may be other sites that welcome this colourful style of comment, but not here.
Getting back on stream, with regard to FWs work it is very much of the American school and whilst I greatly admire his skill and technique I find his palette somewhat loud - a bit Trumpish. I would love to reproduce works of his standard but using a more refined palette.
I don't ask why, if people get stirred up by being asked for their comments, that's really down to them. Thank you everyone for your contributions, very thoughtful most of them, maybe it's time to put this one to bed John
Yes, maybe its time to tuck this one in. I hope you provide us with another stimulating post. Its interesting to read other peoples views, and for me, I find them informative also, we learn by other peoples knowledge.
