Good Afternoon Everyone, Wanted to introduce myself I work within the promotional and sale side of the art industry i am just putting my name out there for anyone who wants free tips when it comes to selling your work and how to get noticed in the current markets. I've worked in the industry for over ten years and have worked in New York, London and Paris. Im also always on the lookout for new talent.
And that's the way it should be done, in referemce to another post - no waffle, a simple introduction, no embedded links, minimal self-promotion; just offering basic information in an introduction.  A take-it-or-leave it approach which I find honest and straightforward. Maybe some won't understand, or will pretend they don't, why this is far more acceptable a means of introducing others to a member's services: but I don't think it's THAT hard to grasp.  This is a useful contrast to the sneakier approach which seeks to solicit custom - I hope our members will see that for themselves (and probably be able to explain it better than I have).
Call me cynical Robert, but when I read this, I did wonder if the ‘I’m also always on the look out for new talent’ remark suggested that the free tips may end up as….’why not use my services, I’ve worked in the industry for ten years etc etc…’ which would indeed make it a sneaky approach to solicit custom.  Why not just post some useful tips?  Hopefully some users will post requests on the thread asking for advice and the responses will prove that I am entirely wrong.
Does anyone do anything for free? I would be interested to know if he has seen any ‘new talent’ on the gallery that he’d like to promote?

I’m also with Tony and Alan on this-instantly suspicious! I looked to find no website. There is a company on the Gov.UK list as The Art Guy Ltd which has one director who is not Rhys Cross.  Also I see this morning another thread here begun entitled Suspicious contact to buy. Just a coincidence or is there a connection?
The use of the English language, grammatical errors included, might be the giveaway here!
I did notice that as well!

This post has been removed as it violates our forum rules and guidelines.

I’m Mr Suspicious when it come to people offering something for nothing and decide to leave this without a comment when I first notice it , I did wonder what others would make of it . As my grandad used to say” yer don’t get owt for nowt”.
No such thing as a free meal!
My faith in human nature taking another knock right where it hurts.....  I found this post a refreshing change from another, which had scam written all over it; but maybe it's just a better written example of the same thing: it pains me to be perpetually suspicious, but that's the world we're in - if you're genuine, Rhys Cross - tell us a bit more.
Deleted my post as I just read, Alan's post. Comment was more or less the same thing.
