New cameos generated on my travels in the Western Isles

Not all these new 'cameos' are based in the Western Isles...some are much nearer 'home', but my printer lives in the Outer Hebrides, hence the subject of my blog!

Thanks your comments Patsy, I can only agree with your chocolate rant! One tip...if you see it in WA, try the Glenelg Chocolate Factory...its made in Coleraine, two towns over from where Dad lives in Vic, and they sell their yummy delights all over Vic but not sure if elsewhere....Glad to hear that your class went well today, all those exercises are good for keeping us fresh. I was really quiet at work today so I grabbed the spare piece of A2 card that has been rolled up for ages (it came in creased so we could not use it and they had to send another) and started drawing out a rather large scene – I just sat on the floor and sketched away. I'll see how it developes, it will probably be a mixed media piece.

Have looked on your gallery & like what we see....you seem to have found your metier......we like it very much....now there will be no stopping you.

That's the thing to do Patsy, 'have a go'. I always have a doodle on the go and they usually turn out to be flowers. Look at my gallery, it took about 18 months in between the other stuff. It's what I do when I get sick of painting, preparing lessons & doing houseworketc.

mmm? an interesting result...

Hurray Patsy....just break OUT. Forget the fiddles and have FUN.. Angst is not what painting is about.... Joy. joy ,joy. have just left a short report on my Kenya trip above X S

Ha! I looked at that one and went for the wet-in-wet one from April's instead. I must try the June article as I do have card lying about the house....Your pic looks like you have grasped the essence of the article. :-)

The painting looks interesting. I must get out my June issue and have a look ( I will probably discover that it is lent out to one of my German friends) and have a go too. I haven't got any inks though. Hope it works just with watercolour. I keep meaning to write to Leisure Painter and suggest they do a German version so that I don't have my mags circulating the whole time. There is nothing similar here and they love it to bits.
