Weather Report and Wild Life

Summer hit with a vengeance today it reached nearly 30 degrees...a bit of a shock given that we had a fire on last week when it was dropping to 4 degrees at night...last night we were in winter pajamas tonight a light shift. Hi Donna I will take a walk along the golf course fence and get some photos for you of the kangaroos...they laze around and don't take a lot of notice of the golfers...occasionally one will get through the fence if there is a weak area and not so long ago Daughter was leaving our house to go home and at the bottom of the drive was a kangaroo...we don't really like to go too near them because they can get nasty and if they stand on their tails it's get out of the way time...when they build golf courses here the wildlife which lives there gets locked in hence the kangaroos. Yes Sylvia you are quite right about the adders...I was warned when I landed in England first and went walking on Thurstaston Common to be careful of the snakes apparently there are lots of them there...we don't have snakes in Ireland or so they tell us...St. Patrick got rid of them. It's so good to hear from you all that the English wildlife is back and you are seeing Badgers, Buzzards, Hawks Foxes and Hares...I have only ever seen Foxes and Hedgehogs. Robert I'm so glad you liked last summer's lady I didn't realise how beautiful the Huntsman was until I took that photo...I usually just get them outside...I don't know why I bother because they come straight in again...it's cruel to spray them with fly spray because it dosn't kill them just disables them...mind you in the Eastern States of Australia they do have the Funnel Web spider which, I have read can kill...it has a tendency to get into your boots and shoes if they are left outside...we don't have them here in the West I'm glad to say...the Redback is quite easily seen and killed. I have one smallish bedroom containing a king sized single which is fine for a romantic couple...but you would have to share with my new "studio" there is enough room to get in and out...shared ablutions. As to a self portrait...we did them in the 80's when I was in my 30's and I made myself look at least 60...now that I'm 63 I could probably manage to make myself look 100...not a good look. I'll keep the lady on for a while a little more interesting than flowers.
