Hi Tim have just picked up my Feb issue of Leisure Painter and congratulations on your very useful contribution...I havn't been able to read it thouroughly but will...was able to paint a little painting today until the paper wouldn't stay wet long enough so instead of fiddling I left it alone that took some doing

Hi Tim i'm afraid I havn't picked up the brushes for about three weeks it's not block the urge is there but the heat is so tiring and just finding it comfortable enough to paint...everything dries so quickly in this weather...was working on some Chinese Brush Work which I hope to conquer but wet on wet is almost impossible hopefully it will cool down within the next month...Feb is usually our hottest month but this has been ongoing with only a couple of days of relief but it will pass...and when i've finished my two Brushwork works I will post them and I will sure let everyone know can't help myself

Hi phil thanks for your kind comments, George was overwelmed with making it on the front cover of a national glossy. I'm pleased to hear of another convert to oil pastel!!

Hi Tim sorry about the diatribe sometimes it dosn't take much to get me going suppose i'm just sick of all the political correctness these days...I made a list last time I checked my gallery and you're on it so thankyou for your comment non were negative and that made me feel really good because i've just started again after a long time and havn't a lot of faith in myself but it's slowly comming so again thankyou

Have got the said eyesores dotted all over our city Perth WA ambulance,police,fire stations...our local uni Murdoch creats 75%of it's own power with methane from the Vet section and they have 2 windmills that I notice when passing are never working...our State Gov are still using coal instead of the natural gas from the North West and here's little old me trustily recycling...which is I hear not processed because the plant is causing more polution than the b....y rubbish OOOOHHHH don't get me started...pulled the wool right over our eyes...want us to wash out recyclable objects but charge us for every drip of water we use well get lost I say...there are many theories on global but for god's sake don't dare say it might be the Earth going through it's paces you'll get a hex put on you...I remember Elsmere Port when the air was yellow with sulpher with oil refining almost a no go...but it was decided by the Local Gov not the Labour party to make the Wirral a green belt and guess what it worked...I don't know if they still refine there but thers big companies can clean up their act if forced to and i'm talking back in the 1960's...gee i'v really vented my spleen havn't I...Hello i'm patsy from West Australia and what an introduction...I also paint but have just started back after a long time so only have a few pieces to show...too hot to paint here just now...not global warming just good old Oz we get it every year just as you get your winter at the same time

Don't get me started on those ****** wind turbines!! As they operate in the windiest spots they are also going to be put where they cause the most environmental damage. And who is going to spend a holiday anywhere in Britain with all the views spoiled by these things? Bang goes a major sector of the economy. The whole thing was kicked off by Townie Blair who never leaves Islington, and wasn't it Fat Prescott who said something like 'it was a Labour government that introduced the green belt and we are going to build on it.' I could go on, and on, and on,......

Hi Tim. I could not agree more about windmill technology. If I had to have one of those graceful modern monsters in my back garden it would be Ok. To have one of those so called original windmills would be an anathema. I, for one, find the plethora of Cley Mill depictions rather twee. It is a shame that the same old tediously repeated scenes figure in so many personal galleries. There is so many inspirational sources sadly ignored. I agree that preconception(s) too should be ignored, those cherished school-art memories:the door in the middle, window either side, two more above, chimney on the left... It is good to read a new blog posting too.
