I am currently reading 'Modern Art in Detail - 75 Masterpieces' by Susie Hodge. Whilst reading this book I came across two examples of modern art: 'Electric Prisms' by Sonia Delauney and 'Colour Study' by Kandisnky, which inspired this series of abstract works using concentric circles. I began by using warm and cool primary colours for the circles and then developed the compositions by changing the sizes, positioning and relationships between the circles. In two of my works, numbers IV and XII, I also added extra texture through the addition of free form drawn shapes. All the works shown here were created digitally using Corel Painter 2020.
