unexpected happenings

A routine visit to the fracture clinic on Tuesday ended with me being admitted to have my wrist pinned. So enforced rest while being starved waiting for an operation slot. OF course, quite rightly my wrist came quite down on the priority list and so 48 hours after admittance I am finally down in theatre. What has this to do with painting you may well ask? Well, I was in a ward where 75% of the patients were confused, so it was very noisy and quite distressing - my only consolation was rreading - I was on my third book by the time I was taken to theatre - and drawing in my littel sketch book that I always have with my. To distract myself I doodled and then found myself drawing a mountain range with tumbling waterfalls from my imagination - this I intend to continue to work on - to see if I can develop a finished piece of work - so out of an unpleasant experience comes hope!
