The Plot Thickens!

The Plot Thickens!

Carrying on from my Blog Post 'Paper Trail' which related the trials and tribulations connected with getting the correct watercolour paper out of Jacksons Art, a further development has occurred this morning. Jackson are supposed to send me out some Fabriano 300lb paper (but so far have only managed to incorrectly send 140lbs and HP??) and I was advised it was coming last Monday 1 July. I was waiting with my hands under the letterbox, but no parcel dropped into my hot sweaty hands. I then get a call from Jacksons saying that Parcel Force say they delivered my paper on Monday 1 July and they emailed me a copy of the signed receipt for the paper. On this receipt it shows that the parcel was delivered to our house at 8.50am and was signed for by my husband? Now, I know that I have not laid a hand on any 300lb paper, regardless of what Parcel Force claim. I then spoke to the Parcel Froce driver who allegedly delivered the parcel on 1 July. He said he handed it to my husband, who was apparently wearing a pair of pink shorts (yes - sadly he does have a pair). Perhaps I should be carting Roger off to the funny farm or something doesn't smell right here. He is adamant that he didn't take in a parcel from a delivery driver on Monday. I do actually think we would have noticed a box measuring 87cm x 61cm x 5cm standing in our hall or on our porch. I also think Roger would have remembered being handed such a big parcel. All a big mystery. We are now at impasse because Jacksons, Parcel Force and us haven't the faintest idea where this paper is. Jacksons have now sold out of the 300lb extra white and none is due until August. I only got it because I back-ordered it. I will keep you posted, but if anyone out there buys stuff from Jackson's and some paper you didn't order turns up - IT'S MINE!!
