THE EXHIBITION'S OPEN

Had a pleasant evening with a good attendance at the opening. The Mayor came and said a few words and we started off the fund raiser. Thought you might like to see the proof so I'm putting a photo in for you to see. I've e-mailed one to the local weekly in the hope that they will publish it so as to give the prize draw some publicity. ~ Got another opening tomorrow. It's the official beginning of the D.H. Lawrence Festival and there'll be speeches etc., to listen to but we ususally get to meet some interesting people on these occasions. If you're in the vicinity of Durban House, drop in to see the exhibitions. There are photographs in the Rainbow Gallery and in the conference rooms & hallway. My paintings are in the Rocking Horse Bistro and nobody minds if you just want to look at the pictures but I can reccomend the food. The coffee is excellent too. ~ THE WORKSHOPS OVER THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOUD BE IN THE EVENTS CALENDAR BUT THE DETAILS SUBMITTED WERE NOT INCLUDED. DON'T ASK ME WHY. ANYWAY HERE THEY ARE - SUNDAY 30TH & MONDAY 31ST - SKETCHING & PAINTING AT DURBAN HOUSE 10.30am 'TIL 4.30pm HIMSELF WILL BE DOING PHOTOGRAPHIC HELP & ADVICE WORKSHOPS AT THE SAME TIME.
