Well! The crazy days of summer are fading away fast with the usual sounds of the tractors and caravans trundling back to their various destinations. Just one last day of an exhibition to go and then I can put my feet up and relax with a large glass of Shiraz. This summer has been hectic but enjoyable. I have enjoyed going to one or two 'Open Studios' and have enjoyed talking shop with various artists. Just one thing puzzles me!!!!!!! I have been to some Open studios in the past where the artist has not been present (which is par for normal exhibitions), but I do feel that the OS season is like being invited to a party where , sometimes the host doesn't show up . I know that they are busy but why open up your studio in the first place if you have not the time to talk to the general public about your art. Am I being a touch sensative, do you think ?
