Tactile

This morning the February edition of The Artist plopped through my letter box, I now know why I'm dissatisfied with the digital version. No one can deny that painting is tactile, when I managed to break into the plain brown paper envelope and the plastic bag, chucking into the recycling bin the advertising bumf, without looking at it, sorry advertisers I'm a lost cause. I flicked the mag, it opened on the page with those magnificent landscapes by Sarah Adams. Just touching those pages gave me a connection with the artist, a feeling for what was going through her senses when she painted them; that is missing in the digital mag.
