Success with a painting posted on the POL gallery!

Imagine my delight when I was contacted by the professor of the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, Madeleine Mitchell, asking for permission to use one of my images on the front cover of a classical music album that she has compiled.
The album is by the famous Welsh composer Grace Williams (1906-1977), who lived in Barry, South Wales and was inspired by the surroundings of her home town of Barry.
The painting that Madeleine chose for the front cover is an oil painting that I completed in 2015. It's an expressive and vibrant work, the original is on stretched canvas and a fairly large 24 x 30in. It depicts an evening scene of Barry Docks.
The album will have worldwide coverage and will be heavily promoted by the RCM. I have a credit for the artwork on the inside cover so all very exciting.
Just goes to show that if you get your work out in the public domain, you never know who is browsing through it. So, a big thank you to PaintersOnline.
