Hi
I left school thinking that i couldnt draw or paint. This mistaken perception continuued into my 30's when ill health visited me.
A friend gave me some watercolour pencils while i was in hospital to keep me occupied.Little did she realise the significance of that day!
I joined an art class for beginners five years ago, filled with trepidation but luckily i found a fantastic tutor and my confidence soon grew.
I realised that practice was the key along with belief in myself. So from then on i tried to do something every day, even if only for a few minutes.
Art has continued to be my main interest and a distraction from my health problems. I have even sold a couple of paintings.
My next step is to have the confidence to try to sell more of my work. So i thought that my introducing myself on the blog was a step in the right direction.
Enjoying art has also become an unexpected interest for my husband as a result of my interest. We find it an enjoyable hobby to visit exhibitions and galleries. His preferences are often different from mine but it does instigate interesting discussions!
I look forward to adding my work onto the gallery site.
