Showing Signs of Life...

I can't believe that my last post was just before Christmas 2008. We had some beautiful hot days in January and early February...also some very wet ones. I was hoping the hot and sunny weather would last for my brother's visit from the UK but it was not to be. He and his partner had quite a damp visit but enjoyed New Zealand all the same. We went to a few restaurants, the star being Fleur's Place which is about one hours drive north from Dunedin perched on the edge of a little idyllic bay in Moeraki. The restaurant established on an early whaling station site in 2002 and is built from gathered collectables and demolition materials from all over New Zealand. It was rather a cold day when we visited and starting to spit with rain. It was great to go for lunch. I had the salmon on a bed of beautiful vegetables and when I saw they had my favourite desert - Creme Brulee I was in seventh heaven. It was an apricot brulee with tangy apricots from Central Otago, I couldn't resist sharing this vision with you. Well enough about food, I am paibting again after the break and have started on small canvas of 12 inch square. They are quite naive, I have been inspired by the art of Panama. See my portofolio for more details. Off for a cuppa now and then the brushes ! By the way, if you would like to see more of my art, buy a card or print...just go to: http://www.redbubble.com/people/anni Fond regards ~~ Anni :)
