I have completed this relatively small drawing of myself. The aim is to try and be more precise in the drawings before adding the colour. It is almost there, there are things that need improving such as the eyes are a bit too close together and the complexion is rather too pink on the face. The use of a darker pastel paper made it easier to create the warmth of the skin tones although more layering was needed. On the whole the drawing is going well. With people posting their holiday snaps on facebook there is lots of material there for me to have a go at. Not many commissions coming however, just the potential of doing a red setter for the friend of a friend
