Oh dear! I was looking forward to sketching this one. The profile photo was really clear and a good likeness. The initial drawing was good but something seems to have gone wrong in the process. I may retry in oil pastel to see if I can sort it out. Basically, the face is longer than it should be, the smile should be stronger than the proportions allow on this narrower face. The eyes are right, though possibly a little too high. The colouring is fine and complimentary, the hair is spot on and I like the looser painting of the shirt and tie which are quite stark in the photo. I really need to work much more on expression. Its not a complete disaster however.
