I have used my pastel pencils for the first time today. I carried out the sketch initially and then began to use them. Because I have a small selection of 24 there are limited flesh tones, but with a white and using my fingers I managed to blend to achieve the colours I wanted. It is really refreshing to achieve that relaxed pastel appearance that is so popular these days with the control of the pencil, I was I had to admit pleasantly surprised by the finish. I used a pale pink pastel paper that made the white stand out more, so great for blonde hair. The pastel pencil clung to the paper well and really there wasn't anything I couldn't do with them. Another one with the head tilted to one side but I got the line better this time.
