Painting in Malta and Gozo

I wonder how many of you budding and aspiring artists out there have ever planned or dreamt of going on a painting holiday, Maybe you were afraid to commit because you may not have enough experience or confidence to take the step? Here is your chance to try something new and exciting while enjoying a short but intensive course with an experienced teacher; At the same time you will be escaping the cold, dull, wet winter in the north of Europe and spending a week in the sunny Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo. WHY MALTA AND GOZO The strategic position of the Maltese Islands in the centre of Mediterranean sea gives them a wider window of good weather than most Mediterranean countries. A mild temperate climate (good for swimming and warm sunshine) starts from the beginning of October to mid December and then from the middle/end of March to the end of May. While the islands are historically know for their hospitality the people are also English speaking and the food a cross between continental and Italian styles. ABOUT THE PAINTING HOLIDAY To make your 7 day painting holiday experience as trouble free and enjoyable as possible the package includes all transfers ie - to and from the airport in Malta, also all excursions to Plein Air locations, your packed lunches and dinners, art courses, and accommodation (with breakfast) on both islands, ferry tickets, and a professional art teacher/artist (who is dedicated to individual attention) and who will be with you every step of the way. The course will also be centred around discovering all the beautiful and quiet locations which both islands have to offer. The seascapes, landscapes and even baroque garden views you will discover will be an experience in themselves. The islands are steeped in a long and amazing history and will surely make your painting holiday a once in a life time experience. A WORD FROM THE ARTIST As a professional artist/art teacher with over 30 years experience in the arts, I have hosted my own groups of aspiring artists at my farmhouse in Gozo for a few years now - I am a dedicated teacher who loves sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm while encouraging my students, by using the idea of positive criticism as my main method of teaching art - My own work is vibrant and bold and I like to think that it is a reflection of my personality and philosophy on life. I firmly believe that like Matisse once said - 'There are always flowers for those who want to see them.' I am happy to announce that I am now hosting my next painting holidays on the Mediterranean islands of Gozo and Malta, in early spring and autumn of 2014. A detailed itinerary, with dates, locations of Plein Air painting, information on your accommodation, and prices will be provided on request.
